"The greatest difficulty in this project was the acoustics, the Cathedral has a conical shape, 106 meters in diameter and 75 meters high externally, 64 meters internally, the entire structure in concrete and some areas in stained glass.
The capacity is for 20,000 people standing.

The implementation of the system required that an exclusive energy distribution system be set up, as well as all electrical power supply to the altar and choir to avoid any type of interference both in the system and in the signal that goes to radio, Web TV, television and media. digital online.
More than 5000 meters of cables were used to connect the system and power supply.
Oneal's DPD (design and development department) used its own software, AMS-OLB (Acoustic Modeling Software from the OLB line) to carry out the simulations and transcribe the processing.
To minimize the low frequency return to the back of the presbytery, the Cardioid subwoofer mounting technique was used, they were placed on the sides of the presbytery. This technique allows better control of the direction of the sound waves, and minimizes the low frequency interaction with the back wall of the presbytery, this allows the largest area of the church to be served with direct sound.
The AMS-OLB software allowed the boxes to be positioned in strategic locations aiming at better direct and homogeneous coverage with an excellent intelligibility index in these areas.
The main PA is composed of 6 points symmetrically positioned with OLB1202.5 boxes (this whole point contains 2 boxes mounted on a double support model OSV1202).
In the internal corridor of the cathedral, we took advantage of the gazofilacios and repositioned them, we developed a support for fixing the boxes tailored for the project, in this coverage area we used 10 points, also symmetrically positioned with OLB1202.5 boxes.
Boxes were also placed at the three entrances in case of overcrowding during the celebrations.
On the sides of the presbytery, where the baptismal font is located and on the other side a mural that tells the story of São Sebastião, OLB1202.5 boxes were placed.
For the presbytery double Side Fill was used to cover the altar, on the sides two individual boxes model OLB1202.5, for ambo and pulpit we opted for floor monitors model OPM1025. In the coral were placed 02 boxes OLB1202.5."
