The Dream Factory, Videomapping, Clérigos Tower in Porto, Portugal
"The Clérigos Tower in Porto will be lit up today, starting at 6:30 p.m., with a ‘video mapping’ show, entitled “Fábrica dos Sonhos”, to mark Christmas.
“It will be a completely different experience for children and adults, which will result in the Tower being lit up with a completely different effect, and I believe that it will truly be a bet that we have great expectations for”, said the president of the Clérigos Brotherhood, Father Manuel Fernando, in statements to the ECCLESIA Agency.
According to the Clérigos Tower, “‘The Dream Factory’ is an invitation to the city to celebrate the Christmas spirit, support traditional commerce and enjoy a show that combines creativity, technology and emotion”.
The sessions will be repeated every hour, at the times: 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 pm, 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm, except on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January, until 5 January
Promoted by the Brotherhood of the Clergy and the Association of Traders of Porto, the ‘video mapping’ show is designed by Atelier Ocubo, and with the support of Metro do Porto, Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal and Ágora – Cultura e Desporto do Porto.
In addition to the “Fábrica dos Sonhos”, the Brotherhood of the Clergy has other proposals to live this Christmas season such as “Spiritus Natali”, which every Thursday until 2 January, presents an immersive concert with Christmas music.
In addition to the concert initiatives at the church, workshops for children and the elderly, a guided tour of the Picasso exhibition and a ceramics workshop, the Brotherhood of the Clergy also suggests ‘Music on the Balcony’, with a carillon.
The president of the Brotherhood of the Clergy also informs that on December 21st, at 9:30 pm, the Church of the Clergy will host the Christmas concert with the Orquestra XXI, with “Portuguese musicians who are spread across orchestras worldwide”.
“We are trying above all to ensure that the Clergy appeals to a diverse audience, of all ages, all sensibilities, and that in some way we too can make this space a home, a common home, where everyone feels truly welcome”, he said.
“Everything indicates” that the Tower of the Clergy will reach a record number of visitors by the end of 2024, highlights Father Manuel Fernando, who justifies the number based on the multiplicity of initiatives.

"From north to south of the country, many cities offer Christmas programs, some of them truly innovative, and Porto is no exception. The magic of Christmas will invade the heart of the city with “A Fábrica dos Sonhos”, a video mapping show that will transform the façade of the Torre dos Clérigos into a magical gift factory.
The show will be presented between December 20 and January 5, 2025, except on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1. The sessions will take place at 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm, with free entry.
The initiative was made official on December 5th, through the signing of a collaboration protocol between the Porto Traders Association (ACPorto) and the Brotherhood of the Clerics. The ceremony, which was attended by representatives of both entities, reinforced the common goal of boosting local commerce, promoting culture and highlighting the city's historical heritage. Created by the OCUBO studio, the show promises to delight the audience with 2D and 3D animations, providing an unforgettable sensory experience.
