Experience the extraordinary Lakha Khan live at Bozar, Brussels, Belgium — a living legend and one of the last true masters of the Sindhi sarangi, a complex folk instrument with up to thirty strings. Now in his late 70s, Lakha Khan has devoted over 50 years to preserving and performing the rich folk and Sufi traditions of the Manganiyar communities in western India.
As the seventh generation of this musical lineage, Lakha Khan enchants with his soulful sarangi melodies and powerful vocals, singing in six languages that tell timeless stories of life, spirituality, and the infinite. Accompanying him on the dholak, the traditional Indian drum, is his son Dane Khan, creating an intimate yet powerful musical dialogue.
Join us for a rare, heartfelt journey through Indian folk heritage, skillfully performed by two generations of master musicians.
