"Testament, one of the most influential bands in the history of global thrash metal, returns to Brazil in August with the "Latin American Tour 2024." The group will visit six Brazilian cities: Limeira (August 16), Curitiba (August 17), Belo Horizonte (August 19), Brasília (August 21), Rio de Janeiro (August 23), and São Paulo (August 24). Tickets will go on sale starting at noon today, May 14th, and are hosted by Liberation Music Company.
An absolute icon of heavy music, Testament has made a name for itself over four decades with albums that helped shape thrash metal. Always true to its essence, the band has never lost its relevance and today boasts nearly 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
The current lineup features a constellation of musicians: guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio (ex-Death, Obituary), young drummer Chris Dovas, and vocalist Chuck Billy, whose stage presence and distinctive voice are key to the group's sound.
On the new tour, Testament revisits classics from different phases of their career, such as Over the Wall, Into the Pit, and Down for Life, as well as more recent tracks like For the Glory of... and Brotherhood of the Snake.

This will be the band's first headlining tour in Brazil since 2017, when they were promoting the album Brotherhood of the Snake. The city of Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo, will host a unique show in the band's history, marking a special moment for fans in the region.
In addition to the highly anticipated tour, Testament is in the final stages of recording its new studio album, which will be the follow-up to Titans of Creation, released in 2020.
