"Blue Note Dresden
Attention: Only for adults! Our establishment is open to all adults.
If "the Neustadt" were a collection of wild stories, some would begin with "At the Blue Note...". Even more would end like that.
We have been the home of jazz in Dresden since 1997. Far from stuffy Saxon Dixi, a wide open window to the big wide world. New Orleans, Chicago, New York, Kansas, from 1905 to today on 74 m². But not just jazz. We also have both [country AND western]!
...and much more. At over 200 concerts a year, we have blues, rock, singer & songwriter, funk, swing, R&B, Latin, experimental, soul, ragtime, roots, bebop, fusion, boogie woogie. Whatever the keys, brass, bass and/or guitar can produce. Everything is always handmade. Except a laptop, a loop station or other technical gadgets have their fingers in the pie.
Stage for great artists and smaller dramas. And vice versa. Wild and exuberant as well as dignified and sophisticated. And this spirit continues in the drinks on offer. Down-to-earth brewing, whether from Bavaria or Bohemia, through long drinks, spirits, to sophisticated cocktails. From the beginning, we have paid particular attention to our huge range of fine Scottish single malts.
The finest classic bar culture in the pulsating heart of our city.
From high culture and electronic music to humor and pop. From after-work beer to champagne parties.
...
Rōkost is the latest project by Hamburg trumpeter and composer Michel Schroeder. With this project, Schroeder ventures into the field of electronic music for the first time, combining synthesizers and techno beats with jazz elements and modifying his trumpet sound with electronic effects. Not committed to any genre, the music of this ensemble can probably best be described as "Electronic Experimental Punk Jazz." https://www.jazzdepartment.com/?page=bar
