"Júlio Caldas Choro Trio presents 'Choros & Frevos' this Monday (17)
The presentation is part of the Chorinho Mondays project and will take place at SESI Rio Vermelho Balcony, starting at 8 pm
SESI Rio Vermelho Balcony will host another edition of the traditional Chorinho Mondays Project – Year 13 this Monday (17). This time, the guest of the night is the Júlio Caldas Choro Trio, who promises a vibrant show entitled "Choros & Frevos". The repertoire will include choro and frevo classics.
Júlio Caldas will be accompanied by bassist Daniel Argolo and drummer Uirá Nogueira. The audience will be able to enjoy pieces immortalized by giants of Brazilian music, such as Pixinguinha, Waldir Azevedo, Jacob do Bandolim, Osmar Macêdo, Moraes Moreira, Carlinhos Brown and Caetano Veloso, as well as carnival marches and Bahian frevos.
The night only ends after the traditional Roda de Choro, when invited "chorões" take the stage to play improvised music.

About Júlio Caldas
Júlio Caldas is a multi-instrumentalist, specialized in tenor guitar, mandolin and cavaquinho. In addition to performing alongside big names in music, Júlio is also a cultural producer, having carried out projects such as the Mostra de Guitarra Baiana and the Circuito Guitarra Baiana.
In his solo career, he has released CDs such as Pitecantropus Erectus (2008) and Café com Blues – Tipo Exportação (2007), among others, exploring the fusion of different genres with a unique touch.
His most recent work is the CD Julio Caldas and Choro Rock – Circuito Guitarra Baiana (2012).
