In 2023, the sound system underwent a complete modernization – thanks to meticulous planning by MÜLLER-BBM ACOUSTIC TECHNOLOGY PVT LTD, structural optimizations, and cutting-edge media technology from MULTIMEDIAFABRIK GmbH.
A key objective was to reduce reverberation time to improve speech intelligibility and sound quality. "The main organ in the westwork of the Sacred Heart Church is one of the great works of the Schwarzach organ builder Josef Behmann. Built in 1931, it is considered a "high-ranking tonal monument" and a "Vorarlberg cultural asset of the first order."
It is a testament to late Romantic organ building and remains structurally and tonally unchanged to this day. The key action is electro-pneumatic, the stop action pneumatic.
Its case currently houses 4,529 pipes distributed across 61 speaking stops.
In 2001, an additional stop, Vox Humana, was added. In 2020, the Rieger organ building company in Schwarzach carried out a complete cleaning and restoration. A combination action system for electronic stop control was also installed." - https://lnkd.in/dfAPcTUE
